Every night in every restaurant, bar and hotel, guests walk in and walk out as strangers — no CRM record, no loyalty profile, no way to reach them again. Booking platforms capture their email, but under a masked OTA address you can never market to. Your own WiFi network was sitting idle, doing nothing.
CaptiveWiFi was founded to fix that. Our captive portal platform sits at the WiFi login moment and captures verified first-party guest data — name, email, consent — and syncs it to your CRM in under 15 seconds. Walk-ins become known guests. One-time visitors become regulars.
The platform is built exclusively for hospitality. Not retail, not events, not healthcare — hospitality. Every feature exists because an operator asked for it.
Our approach to guest data
We take a GDPR-first approach to everything we build. Guests opt in explicitly at the point of WiFi login — we never infer consent, never share data with third parties for advertising, and never retain data beyond the purpose for which it was collected.
Every venue using CaptiveWiFi is the data controller for their guests. We act as the data processor. Our agreements reflect that clearly. If you are an operator concerned about compliance, our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service set out exactly what we do and do not do with guest data.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK and process all data in compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
